My General Questions

#1
Most of these questions are meant to imply the alternative of being decided later in the planning phase.

What do you mean by "core" and "node"? Are you talking about having an open source project that anyone can fork?
Is the game meant to be a single-instance MMO, or have separate worlds like Minecraft or The Blockheads, or both a main server and user/private servers? This is surely one of the most important questions because it heavily affects the development, costs, user experience, balancing, gamification, and how modding might be done.
What are the intentions monetization-wise with this project?
If a volunteer puts lots of work into this project, what exactly are they getting out of it? -> How will the game be licensed?
What platforms are you thinking of targeting? PC, VR, mobile, console, etc
I'm not sure where I fall between casual contributor and professional. I don't want to sell myself short, but I'm no master of my craft, nor do I have a degree (yet).

Great question, we know that social organization arose out of the circumstances we have at present in physical life so our aim is to duplicate the circumstances with a little bit of extra intention in order to see if we can come to the same result of social organization.
This is a very complex endeavour and we could never do it alone. Our goal is to build several core fundamentals that people can integrate into nodes of their own part of Connect=ed. Once we have that done we intend to create our own node also comprised of two standalone parts. The first is the place where people will start out in the countryside and the next is the city where we hope people will go.
Big-time hands-off the decentralization is absolutely necessary to make this a success.
The idea is much too big for any one of us to do alone.

Unlike other projects out there this is not a game it’s an idea and multiple developers can move toward that idea with our node being the central note and everyone here deciding together our central goals.

As far as monetization goes, our intention was always to make the game free and we will probably monetize via a currency that can also be earned for free.

As far as volunteer rewards go, this is definitely something I’m still trying to fully comprehend but I am considering a revenue share system based on land ownership in the “game.” That said we’re gonna need lots of help and therefore it would be good for us to be very open handed in rewarding people.

How will the game be licensed?
Likely standard, possibly open source. I really want to engage in an open discussion on which license would be best to meet the objectives because for me it’s all about meeting the objective of superior social organization.
